After a tough slate of road games last week, the Bob Jones University women's soccer team is back home at Alumni Stadium where they welcome Greensboro College to Greenville, South Carolina for a Tuesday afternoon game.
Last week the Bruins went 1-0-2 in back-to-back-to-back games to remain undefeated on the season with a 5-0-5 record. The Bruins struggled in their Wednesday match against Asbury University, but after going down twice they showed their resiliency to tie the game 2-2. Following that game, Coach Carmichael said, "no doubt playing four games in five days took its toll and was likely a big contributor to the technical problems we were having. We look forward to giving the players some quality rest through the weekend so we can come back strong next week."
On Saturday, the Pride shutout Pfeiffer University 3-0 to improve to a 4-2-3 season record. All three goals came within five minutes of each other in the first half with forward Amery Skinner coming away with a brace with the second and third goals of the game. Skinner leads the Pride with six goals and one assist on the season.
Tuesday will mark the fourth meeting between Bob Jones University and Greensboro College. After dropping their first two games in 2018 and 2019, the Bruins notched their first win against the Pride last season in a 1-0 decision.
Kickoff for Tuesday's game is scheduled for 4 p.m. from Alumni Stadium.
