The #1 seeded Bruins put the #4 seeded Trinity College Tigers season to an end tonight after beating them 3-0. In an entertaining match, the Bruins won 25-9, 25-12, and 25-10 as everyone had a chance to get in tonight.
The Bruins put together a solid team effort to advance to the championship. As everyone was able to contribute, the Bruins put together 38 kills and 10 aces. Faith Blalock led the team tonight with 10 kills of her own. Kiersten Hoopes also helped as she assisted 27 times.
"It was a great team effort tonight. We got to play everyone and that game experience is helpful as we head down the home stretch," said Head Coach Vickie Denny. "We also had a great crowd that we hope comes back out tomorrow for our championship match against Pensacola."
The Bruins will take on the #2 seed and rival Pensacola Christian College in the NCCAA DII South Region Championship tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the Davis Field House. Tickets will be sold at the front entrance for $5 per person. Doors will open prior to the match one hour before the first serve. You can also watch the game on our YouTube
