The Bruins men's basketball team is starting their season on the road this weekend. They travel to Sewanee, Tennessee for a pair of games. Their first game is on Friday at 8:00 p.m. against Sewanee University of the South. Saturday, they will play Wittenberg University at 3:00 p.m.
The basketball team begins their season coming off a 12-13 campaign last year. Finishing with a 4-6 conference record last season, the team looks to rebound and get back to their region championship game. They last won the regional championship in 2021-2022.
Sewanee (NCAA DIII)
This is the first meeting between the Bruins and Tigers. Both teams are bringing back strong returning classes this season. The Bruins brought in two freshmen and the Tigers have five freshmen on their team this season. Tip off between the two is scheduled for Friday at 8:00 p.m.
Wittenberg (NCAA DIII)
The Bruins will be taking on another new team this weekend against the Wittenberg Tigers. Last year, the Tigers finished their season with a 13-12 record and 11-6 in conference. They bring in a strong recruiting class with eight incoming freshmen. The Bruins and Tigers will tip off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
