Weekend Preview: Women’s Basketball Takes First Road Trip of the Season


The women's basketball team is headed to Lynchburg, Virginia for a pair of games this weekend. Friday they will play against University of Lynchburg and then Saturday will play Randolph College. Friday's game against Lynchburg is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday's game against Randolph is scheduled to tip off at 2:00 p.m.

Wednesday this past week, the Bruins opened their season against Brevard College. The Bruins got off to a slow start and couldn't keep up with the Tornadoes as they lost 60-80 in the season opener. They'll look to get back on track this weekend.

University of Lynchburg (NCAA DIII)
This is the first meeting between the Bruins and the Hornets. The Hornets began their season on Wednesday as well playing Marymount University. The Hornets dropped their season opener 44-76. The Bruins and Hornets will tip off on Friday at 6:00 p.m.

Randolph College (NCAA DIII)
In a weekend full of firsts, this is also the first time the Bruins and Wildcats have battled it out on the court. Randolph opened their season with a huge win over Clinton College 84-47. Senior, Jessica Jennings, led the wildcats with 27 points. The Bruins and Wildcats are set to tip off on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
