The Bob Jones University women's volleyball team wrapped up their preseason with a Tuesday night scrimmage from their home court at the Davis Field House against Truett McConnell University.
The Bruins came into the game after facing a pair of NCAA DII schools on Saturday. Converse University as well as the University of Charleston (West Virginia) came out victorious in each of the matches.Â
In today's contest, the Bruins battled back to win set one in a thrilling 25-23 set victory. Despite some strong plays by the home team, the TMU Bears came out on top to win the next three sets 20-25, 22-25, and 18-25 to finish on top 3-1.
"I was pleased how we made some adjustments and competed well tonight," said Head Coach Vickie Denny. "Truett is a strong team, and I thought we made some great defensive plays to keep us in the game. We're excited to start our regular season on Friday."
Up next, the Bruins will open the 2023 regular season in Danville, Virginia for a weekend of games beginning on Friday.Â
