After a quick day of rest, the women's volleyball team is back on the road for another match to take on the Warren Wilson Owls. This is the Owl's first year with a women's volleyball team and will consequently be the first time the two teams have played.
Warren Wilson College announced at the beginning of the 2022 academic year that they had hired a women's volleyball coach. The team would be set to debut in the fall of 2023 for their inaugural season. Starting a new program is always tough, but the Owls were able to notch a win over Virginia University of Lynchburg. Coming into this matchup, the Owls have a young team who are ready to play and compete.
In the Bruins previous matchup this week, they played Johnson and Wales University. There they completed a sweep of the match and also notched their 12th win of the season. This win over JWU would also mark the 11th straight over the Wildcats. Offensively, Timbre Cruz and Katherine Hoopes both recorded double digit kills while on the defensive side of the ball Katelyn Landkrohn recorded 19 digs.
