The Bruins are back on the road this weekend for a tri-match against Tennessee Wesleyan University and Truett McConnell University. The matches will be hosted by TMU on Saturday, September 30. The Bruins played the TMU Bears earlier this season in an exhibition matchup during the preseason, but their last official matchup was during the 2022 campaign for the Bruins. The Bruins have also played against TWU Bulldogs. However, the previous matchup between the Bruins and Bulldogs dates back to 2017.
The Bulldogs haven't had the season they were hoping for up to this point as their record shows some disappointment. The Bulldogs finished a match, Thursday, against Reinhardt where they would fall 3-0. They will look to bounce back on the season so they can course correct for the remainder of the year.
The TMU Bears are having better success with their season as they sit at 12-7. In their most recent game, they finished a match against Bryan College and lost 2-3. Regardless of the loss, the Bears will be hungry for more wins and for the chance to defend their home court.
The Bruins defended their home court as they took on rival Pensacola Christian College. It would be a quick one, two, three for the Bruins as they swept them for their 15th win of the season. Thanks to the electric crowd, the Bruins had all the fuel they needed to get this quick win before traveling to TMU.
Both TWU and TMU are NAIA opponents, so the Bruins will look to capitalize against some stiffer competition. You can watch those matches
