The women's basketball team is coming home to play their first home game of the semester after spending a week in Florida. The Bruins are hosting Trinity College (Fla.) for a game Thursday night at 5:00 p.m. The team finished their road trip in Florida 2-1 beating Johnson University and Trinity Baptist College while dropping a close one to Welch College. The trip brings their season record to 5-9.

The Bruins and Tigers are South Region Division II opponents and have eight total meetings with the Bruins leading the series 6-2. In the last matchup between the Bruins and Tigers, the Bruins played a complete game dominating throughout each phase to win 78-49.

Trinity College (Fla.) holds a 4-3 record this season and are currently on a four-game winning streak. Their first three games were to New College of Florida, Pensacola Christian College, and Toccoa Falls College. They turned their season around winning their first game against Johnson University FL 70-68. They then dominated Beacon College 82-36, Appalachian Bible College 85-40, and Appalachian Bible College again 91-21.

Leading up to this Thursday game against the Tigers, the Bruins spent a week in Florida picking up two wins and a loss. The loss came from the hands of the Welch College Flames in a tight race 68-63. In their next two games, they played Johnson University as they dominated 73-43 and played again in another tight one against Trinity Baptist College 78-72.
