The homestand continues as the Bruins invite Warren Wilson to the Davis Field House for their 17th all-time matchup. This past week, the Bruins had a tough stretch, but came out victorious Saturday in a 79-76 overtime victory over New College of Florida.

Warren Wilson enters the matchup this week with a 0-16 record with close losses to Trinity College (Fla.), Newport New Apprentice School in OT, Agnes Scott College in OT, and Salem College. They average 56 points per game while allowing 77.5 points per game. In their last game, they lost 100-36 to Christopher Newport University in a Coast to Coast conference matchup. Freshman forward, Weronika Swojak finished the game with a near double-double tallying 17 points and 9 rebounds.

The Bruins had a tough week, dropping close games to division rivals and top 5 ranked Toccoa Falls College and Pensacola Christian College. They closed the week on a high note getting the win in overtime over New College of Florida to improve their season record to 7-11.

Several Bruins had some great games this week starting with Shea Dickinson who scored a career high 19 points against the TFC Screaming Eagles. Anna Layne Wylder helped the Bruins break a team record shooting 5-16 from behind the arc as the Bruins scored 18 three-point shots against the PCC Eagles. Finally, Annie Miller shot a season high 23 points while staying perfect from the free throw line going 11 for 11 against the NCF Mighty Banyans.

The Bruins and Owls have 16 meetings and have a 50-50 split, both having eight wins over the other. The last two matchups have gone in favor of the Bruins, but had previously been on a seven game losing streak from 2015-2022. In the last two wins, one away and one at home, the Bruins won 70-58 and 73-41.

The Bruins and Owls are set to tip-off on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Davis Field House. If you can't make it out in person, you can watch them live on the Bruins YouTube channel here.
