The women's basketball team is back home this Thursday for a rematch against Trinity Baptist College. The two teams will face off in the Davis Field House at 5:00 p.m. In the previous matchup, the Bruins traveled to Jacksonville, Florida where the Bruins defeated the TBC Eagles 78-72. With the win, the Bruins would take a 17-3 series lead over the Eagles.
The Eagles are coming to Greenville with a 6-11 record after a tough loss to New College of Florida. The Eagles lost to the Mighty Banyans in heartbreaking fashion as the Mighty Banyans scored a bucket in the final 30 seconds to go up 65-63. In conference play, the Eagles hold a 2-4 record with their wins over Johnson University (FL) and Trinity College (FL).
The Bruins have had some success the last few games as they come into the matchup on the three-game winning streak. They started out with a win over New College of Florida in a wild overtime win 79-76. Last week, they hosted Warren Wilson and defeated them 73-60. Finally, this past weekend, the Bruins had a come from behind win over NCCAA DI Clinton College 61-56.
The matchup this week marks the eighth straight home game for the Bruins and the second to last home game. The Bruins and Eagles are set to tip-off Thursday at 5:00 p.m. and will be streamed live from the Bruins YouTube channel
