Â
Bruins went on a seven point run to lead 13-5 early in the third set. Their advantage held through the remainder of the set and with three straight points, Bob Jones completed the final set 25-11 to earn the 3-0 sweep.Â
Following the game, Head Coach Vickie Denny commented, "going into today's matches we knew we were going to be stretched. Salem is having a great season and plays almost error free volleyball. With their multiple offensive attacked we had trouble defending. We also struggled on our offensive side not able to get our key hitters into the game."
She continued saying, "after a quick turnaround time, I am please with how our players responded and played a good match against Pfieffer. We especially played well defensively with several touch blocks and digs. It was good to get the win before heading into our fall break."
Up next, the Bruins will travel up the road to face Spartanburg Methodist College next Wednesday evening.
