The Bob Jones University women's basketball team is on the road for a weekend tournament in Gallatin, Tennessee.
The Bruins enter the weekend 1-4 on the season after picking up their first win of the season in a 50-35 decision against Meredith College on Tuesday.
On the campus of Welch College, the Bruins will open their weekend with a Friday night matchup against Southeastern Baptist College. Friday's game will be the first NCCAA South Region contest of the season for the Bruins. On their way to Tennessee, the Chargers will make a stop in Harrodsburg, Kentucky on Thursday to face Campbellsville-Harrodsburg looking to improve upon their 1-6 record.
Friday's game will mark just the second meeting between the Bruins and the Chargers. The two programs met in February of 2023 at the region tournament where Bob Jones finished on top 72-47.
On Saturday, the Bruins will face host school Welch College at 2 p.m. to wrap up their weekend road trip. Welch College picked up their first win of the season in an 88-44 decision against Warren Wilson College last Saturday.
The Bruins and Flames have met four times with the Flames holding the 3-1 series record. The Bruins won their only game against the Flames back on January 10, 2020.
The weekend gets underway on Friday with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the Student Activities Center in Gallatin, Tennessee.
