Bruins Fall In Exhibition to the Lions

Box Score The Bruins fell in their exhibition game to the Emmanuel University Lions on the road.

"I am very pleased with how we played against one of the best coached teams in America," Head Coach Burton Uwarow said.

The first half was a great half for the Bruins as they led for over half of it. They shot over 50% from the field in the half and 100% from the free throw line. It was a back-and-forth half with eight lead changes and nine ties, and the Bruins remained solid. Coach Uwarow called this first half performance "spectacular."

The Lions just outshot the Bruins in the second half and were able to extend their lead throughout the half. "There is nothing to hang our heads about," Coach Uwarow said.

Trevor Brunson played a fantastic game shooting 9-11 from the field and was 100% from the free throw line resulting in 24 points which led the Bruins in scoring. Right behind him was Shad Vander Hart with 23 points, also shooting 100% from the free throw line.

The Bruins play next on Tuesday, November 19 at the Davis Field House at 6:00 p.m. as they host Covenant College!
