The Bob Jones University Bruins are on the hunt for their eighth NCCAA DII South Region Championship as they begin their time at the regional tournament in Toccoa Falls, Georgia.
Four teams battle it out in the south region with the seeding as follows:
- #1 Bob Jones University
- #2 Pensacola Christian College
- #3 Toccoa Falls College
- #4 Trinity Baptist College
The semifinals begin on Friday as the top-seeded Bruins take on #4 Trinity Baptist College on Friday, November 8 at 4 p.m. The Bruins enter the postseason with a 25-10 regular season record and a perfect 5-0 conference record after picking up a big 3-0 sweep over Carolina University in their final home match on Tuesday.
Bob Jones faced off against the Trinity Baptist Eagles at the beginning of the season in Jacksonville where the Bruins brought home the 3-0 win. In their 10 meetings over the past eight seasons, the Bruins have never lost a match or a set to the Eagles.
Should the Bruins pull off the victory over the Eagles, they will advance to the region championship match on Saturday at 1 p.m. They will face the winner of the second semifinal match between Toccoa Falls College and Pensacola Christian College.
