The women's basketball team is gearing up for one final showdown of the 2024 regular season. They travel to Toccoa Falls, Georgia to play conference rival Toccoa Falls College. The two programs are set to face off on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
The Screaming Eagles are an astounding 16-5 while also keeping a 5-1 record in the conference. In the latest NCCAA Coaches Poll, they are ranked number three behind Champion Christian at number one and Pensacola Christian at number two.
In two of their three previous matchups, they lost to Pensacola Christian College and Johnson and Wales University. Starting in early February, the Screaming Eagles traveled to Pensacola, Florida where they lost 68-66 to Pensacola Christian. Saturday, they were on the road again traveling to North Carolina to face Johnson and Wales where they lost 88-44.
The Bruins sit at 11-13 on the season are coming off a pair of losses to Warren Wilson and NCCAA South Region rival Pensacola Christian College. In their last game, the Bruins were at Pensacola where they lost 93-62. Catherine Skebo led the team with 12 points and Hallie Ritter finished with eight rebounds.
In this upcoming matchup between the Bruins and Screaming Eagles, the two programs will be playing their 25th game all time. The Bruins lead the series 18-6, but the Screaming Eagles have won the last three games.
