The women's basketball team is gearing up for their second to last game of the regular season. They travel down to Pensacola, Florida to take on NCCAA DII Division rival Pensacola Christian College. The Bruins and Eagles already have quite a history against one another as the two programs have met 28 times. Through 28 meetings, the Bruins trail 18-10 all-time.
The Eagles currently hold an astonishing 19-3 record and sit at 6-1 in conference play with their only loss coming from Toccoa Falls in a 70-63 OT match. Since that loss, the Eagles are on a five-game winning streak with their latest win over Toccoa Falls in a tight 68-66 matchup. Leah Phelps put up 23 points for the Eagles in their win over TFC and is averaging 11 points per game.
The Bruins are coming off a tough loss from Warren Wilson and currently sit at 11-12 on the season. In conference play, the Bruins have a 5-2 record and will look to improve that with a win over the Eagles. The Eagles have won the last four matchups, so the Bruins are looking to end that streak. A win over the Eagles would get the Bruins to .500 on the season and improve their conference record to 6-2
