It's bound to be an exciting weekend of basketball as the Bob Jones University Bruins host rivals Pensacola Christian College on Friday before a quick turnaround to take on Averett University on Saturday.
Bob Jones enters the weekend with a 5-8 season record after falling on the road to Pfeiffer University on Monday night.
The Bruins open the weekend with the much anticipated contest against NCCAA South Region rival Pensacola Christian College at 5 p.m. on Friday in the Davis Field House. Friday's game against the Eagles marks the 31st meeting in program history. The Eagles lead the all-time series 20-10. The Bruins look to break out of a six game losing streak against PCC with their last win over the Eagles coming in February 2022 in a 83-74 decision. The Eagles sit on a six game winning streak and with a 13-3 record on the season
On Friday, Fans are asked to where black for the blackout game. A crew from Student Life will be set up in the main lobby selling concessions for Friday's games.
Following Friday night's region game, the Bruins are back on their home court for a Saturday afternoon contest against Averett University. The Cougars have struggled this season as they have only produced one win through 15 games played. Saturday's game will mark the first ever meeting between the Bruins and the NCCAA DIII program. Tip-off for Saturday's game is set for 1 p.m. in the Davis Field House.
