For the final time this regular season, the Bob Jones University women's basketball team is on the road for a weekend business trip. The Bruins make their way to Pensacola, Florida for a Saturday night contest against NCCAA South Region rivals, Pensacola Christian College.
The Bruins hit the road following a much-needed 80-61 win over Trinity Baptist College on Thursday. With the win, the Bruins now sit at 9-14 overall on the season and 3-4 in conference play.
Pensacola's women's basketball team has had a great season and currently sits on a 12 game winning streak. Through five south region contests, they remain undefeated so far this year.
On January 17, the Bruins hosted the Eagles in the Davis Field House where the game came down to the wire. At the final buzzer, it was PCC on top with the 76-75 win.
PCC owns the 21-10 all-time record against the Bruins, but the Bruins are looking to capitalize off of momentum from Thursday's win over Trinity Baptist to pull out the upset over the Eagles on Saturday.
Saturday's contest is a crucial one for the Bruins as they prepare for the NCCAA South Region tournament held at Bob Jones University from February 27 - March 1. Tip-off for Saturday's game is set for 6:30 p.m. in Pensacola, Florida.
