The 2025 regular season officially kicks off for the Bob Jones University Bruins on Monday afternoon as the women's soccer team welcomes Spartanburg Methodist College to Alumni Stadium for a 2 p.m. kickoff. 

After taking the regional and national championship titles last season, the Bruins enter the week looking for a strong start to the new season as they play their first of six home games.

Spartanburg Methodist College makes the short trip down I-85 to face BJU. Monday's game marks the fourth meeting between the Bruins and the Pioneers with Bob Jones leading the all-time series 2-1. Spartanburg Methodist enters the contest 0-1 on the season following a 2-0 loss to SCAD Savannah last Friday.

There will be a familiar face on the sideline as Pioneers head coach Debbie Pekel comes back to BJU after working as the Bruins assistant coach in 2022.

Looking ahead to the new season, Bruins head coach Chris Carmichael said, "we are extremely excited about getting another opportunity for a regional and national title this year. Most importantly, we are excited about the opportunity to use this great sport to shine for Jesus and to be able to use this game as a platform for evangelism."

Kickoff for Monday's home opener is set for 2 p.m. in Greenville, South Carolina.
