Women's Basketball Releases 2025-26 Schedule

With the big 2025-26 season coming quickly, the Bruins women's basketball team has released their full season schedule.

"We are excited for the season to begin and for the growth we know will occur through unknown challenges and uncomfortable experiences," Head Coach Mike Leviere said. "While 10 of our 15 players are underclassman, we have everyone back from last season, so we have a good year of experience under our belt."

The season begins October 29 as the Bruins drive down the road to Southern Wesleyan University to take on the Warriors in a scrimmage. Tipoff is schedule for 5:00 p.m. The regular season and region play begin just a couple days later on October 31 when the Bruins travel to Laurel, Mississippi to play Southeastern Baptist College Chargers for a prime time 8:00 p.m. tipoff.

Even with a heavy away game schedule, the Bruins still host 11 games at the Davis Field House. The home opener is scheduled for November 5 against Covenant College.

This season, the Bruins have several opportunities to play NCAA DI school in exhibitions; the first of which comes November 7 against Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina. On December 13, the Bruins go to North Carolina again, but this time to take on UNC Greensboro. The final NCAA DI exhibition will come right into the new year on January 3 as the Bruins play cross-town at the newly renovated Timmons Arena against the Furman University Paladins.

"This season is full of opportunities to be challenged and compete at the highest level of college basketball. It's these games that will put us out of our comfort zone and give us chances to grow through adversity," Coach Leviere said.

The game everyone will circle on their calendar is the January 17 matchup against the Eagles of Pensacola Christian College. The women's basketball teams begin the big night at the packed-out Davis Field House with a 5:00 p.m. tipoff.

To cap off the long and exciting season, the Bruins will travel to Toccoa Falls College for the NCCAA DII South Region Tournament in the final week of February for a chance to punch their ticket to the national tournament.

"Our team wants to continue to compete with excellence this season," said Coach Leviere. "We want to strive to be the best version of ourselves every time we step on the court, no matter who the opponent is."
