January 17 vs. Pensacola Christian College
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Location: Davis Field House | Greenville, SC
Watch | Admission: $5 for adults, $3 for students
The region rivalry continues as the Bob Jones University Bruins host the Pensacola Christian College Eagles at 5:00 Saturday night in the Davis Field House. The women's basketball contest marks the 100th meeting between the Bruins and Eagles across four sports - men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, and men's soccer.
The Bruins enter the weekend match after falling to another NCCAA DII South Region opponent on Monday. In the matchup, the Bruins came up short in a 66-63 decision to Trinity College of Jacksonville.
Following that game, Head Coach Mike LeViere said, "we know we're better than that. We've got to address what needs to be addressed and get better quickly. We have a really good opponent coming to us this Saturday and the effort displayed tonight will earn us an embarrassing result come Saturday."
With Monday's result, the Bruins now sit at 4-6 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.
On the other side of the court, the Eagles make their way to Greenville on a 10 game winning streak. The Eagles (12-3) took their first region win on Thursday with a dominant 88-44 victory against Toccoa Falls College.
Since 2013, the Bruins and Eagles have played each other 32 times with PCC leading the all-time series 22-10.
Tip-off for Saturday's contest is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in the Davis Field House.
All BJU/BJA staff and students along with BJU Alumni Association members get free admission with their school ID.
