The postseason is here and the Bob Jones University women's basketball is headed to Georgia for the NCCAA DII South Region Tournament. The Bruins enter the tournament as the #3 seed.
Below is the full seeding for the tournament:
- #1 - Pensacola Christian College
- #2 - Trinity College of Jacksonville
- #3 - Bob Jones University
- #4 - Toccoa Falls College
- #5 - Southeastern Baptist College
The tournament officially kicked off Thursday afternoon with the first women's game between #4 Toccoa Falls and #5 Southeastern Baptist. The winner of Thursday's game will advance to play the top-seeded Eagles Friday evening.
The Bruins open Friday's contests with an 11 a.m. tip-off against #2 Trinity College of Jacksonville. The Bruins and Eagles met twice this season with Trinity College of Jacksonville winning both games. Both contests were close with the Eagles edging out the Bruins 66-63 on January 12 and 66-65 on February 7. Despite losing both regular season games to the Eagles this season, the Bruins lead the all-time series 19-6.
The winner of both Friday semifinal games will ear a spot in the NCCAA DII South Region championship game on Saturday. Saturday's title game is set to be held at 1 p.m. in Toccoa Falls, Georgia.
The Bruins are on the hunt for their fourth region title and first since the 2021-22 season.
