After winning their third straight region championship, the Bruins are back on the national stage as they compete for the program's first national championship in Minneapolis, Minnesota as the #7 overall seed this week.

Coming into this season, the Bruins were confident that they would be back despite losing a couple key players from last year's region championship team. This season has brought breakout seasons from guys like Justin Skelton and Shad Vander Hart who have led the Bruins in most of the statistical categories. It's also brought strong performances by guys like Trevor Pittman, Brandon Wilkins, and Braxton Murray. The thing about this team, though, is their depth. The hustle players coming off the bench have given the Bruins several sparks throughout the year.

Since January, the Bruins are 11-3 overall and 9-2 in conference play. With a region championship, the Bruins clinched their spot at the national tournament. It is all set to begin Wednesday, March 11 at North Central University, and the seeding goes as follows:
  1. Spurgeon College
  2. Great Lakes Christian College
  3. Manhattan Christian College
  4. Champion Christian College
  5. North Central University
  6. Crown College
  7. Bob Jones University
  8. Faith Baptist Bible College
  9. Southwestern Adventist University
  10. Simmons College of Kentucky
The Bruins play their first game on Wednesday as they face off with the #10 seed Simmons College of Kentucky at 7:00 p.m. EDT. This will be the first time the two programs have ever met. If the Bruins win, they will play against the #2 seed Great Lakes Christian College on Thursday at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
