The Bob Jones University volleyball team opens their 2026 season on the road with a pair of matches in Cleveland, Georgia. The Bruins will open the weekend with an 11 a.m. contest against the host school, Truett McConnell University, before taking on Point University at 1:00 p.m.

The Bruins and TMU Bears are no strangers as the two have met nine times in regular season play across the past ten years. The Bruins lead the series 5-3 after picking up two games against them last season. Truett McConnell (3-1) opened their season last Friday with three straight wins before a five-set loss to Brewton-Parker College on Saturday. 

It's been almost ten years since the Bruins and the Point University Skyhawks met on the court. On September 3, 2016, the two programs met in the Davis Field House for what would be the just the second Bruins volleyball game in program history. The Skyhawks took all three sets to win the game 3-0. Point University enters the weekend 1-7on the season looking to break out of a five game losing slide.

After a solid showing at two preseason scrimmages, the Bruins are looking for a strong start to their season under the direction of new coach Anthony Bennett. 

First serve is set for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in Cleveland, Georgia.
