The women's volleyball team wraps up their season opening road trip with a weekend in Danville, Virginia at the Cougar Classic hosted by Averett University.

The Bruins will kick off their weekend with a 6 p.m. contest against Averett University. Friday's game marks the first game of the season for the Cougars. Since 2019, the Bruins and Cougars have met five times with Averett leading the all-time series 3-2 after picking up wins in 2022, 2024, and 2025. 

Saturday's games will get underway at 11 a.m. as the Bruins take on Guilford College before facing Roanoke College at 1 p.m.

Guilford enters the weekend 0-1 on the year after getting swept by Meredith College on Tuesday. The Bruins and Quakers have met three times in program history with Guilford College winning each of those matchups. The final NCAA DIII opponent of the weekend is Roanoke College who are no strangers to the Bruins. Saturday's game will mark the sixth meeting between the two teams. The last two meetings in 2024 and 2025 resulted in wins by the Maroons, but the Bruins still lead the series 3-2. 

The Bruins are up against some tough NCAA DIII teams this weekend, but are looking to come out strong and secure their first win of the season.
