About:
The Bruins Team Volleyball Camp is a great way for Varsity and Junior Varsity teams to get ready for their upcoming playing season. The camp will have sessions for individual skill work, fitness and conditioning, team practice time, and team competitions along with a daily Bible study. Teams must have a complete team (6 or more players) in order to attend this camp.

New this summer:

• Each team may have ONE coach attend the week for free (includes lodging in the dorms and meals). Any additional coaches or team staff will be charged $125 for lodging and meals. Coaches can pay this fee via check or cash at check-in on July 13, 2026.
• All coaches traveling with their team, please fill out this form.

Cost:
$360 per player ($385 after April 1) - Overnight camper rate

Player registration for Team Volleyball Camp will close on June 15 to help with Team Camp preparations.

Check-in:
Monday, July 13 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the lower lobby of the Davis Field House

Camp Ends:
July 16 at 12 p.m.

• Learn the game of volleyball from experienced coaches and players
• Three Individual skill instruction sessions led by experienced coaches and college players
• Team practice time on Tuesday afternoon
• Team competitions
• Apply team concepts to game competitions
• Team bonding
• Gain the confidence to be an effective competitor in the proper spirit of Christian sportsmanship
• Daily Bible study and devotionals from college players and coaching staff

Meet Coach Schlichting: Christa Schlichting joined the Bruins in 2018. In 2020, Christa was honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association as the NCCAA National Assistant Coach of the Year. Prior to joining the Bruins, she spent thirteen years as an athletic director and physical education teacher at Leesburg Christian School in Virginia where she coached her varsity volleyball team to seven state appearances and one state championship title. Christa also served as a head coach for several junior travel teams for Northern Virginia Volleyball Association in Sterling, Virginia.  She enjoys teaching the sport and helping players develop individual skills as well as challenging players from God's Word.
