Mike LeViere

Mike LeViere joined the Bruins coaching staff in 2012 as the program's first head coach. His responsibilities with the BJU Bruins include recruiting, scheduling and coaching for the women's basketball team and managing the intramural program for Bob Jones University. Over his time here, the Bruins basketball team has their competitive excellence each year and has been ranking in the top 25 nationally for the past 3 seasons. In 2014-15, the Lady Bruins reached the NCCAA DI South regional championship game. This year, the Bruins have been consistently ranked in the top-5 of NCCAA DII.

Coach LeViere graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Studies and, after finishing coursework for a M.A. degree in Sport Administration, was hired as the women’s basketball coach at Northland Baptist Bible College where he served from 1999-2002.

Coach LeViere believes athletics offer a unique platform to teach and learn practical truths that have eternal value. While it is easy to get caught up in the tangible aspect of athletics, the lessons of reaping what you sow, sacrificing individual goals and desires for the good of something bigger, goal setting and attainment, and many other lessons are at the heart of his involvement in athletics.

Coach LeViere is married to his wife Rachel, and they have four children.
