Box Score The Wildcats had three players combine for 64 of the team's 95 points as Johnson and Wales University handed the Bruins a 95-68 loss on Tuesday night. "It's always disappointing to lose at home the way we did," Coach Neal Ring said. "Their coach Jim has done a phenomenal job with them and he has his guys playing at a very high level. We knew coming in that some of our matchups would be difficult for us and unfortunately at times in the game we stopped getting stops on defense and were throwing the ball away."

95-68 loss to Johnson and Wales University The Bruins were coming off a 97-75 win over Toccoa Falls College on Saturday night, and the team was looking to win back-to-back games for the first time since November. The Wildcats entered Tuesday's game with a 9-10 record having won 3 of their last 4 games. Both teams were hungry for the "W" as they took the court at the Davis Field House.
In the opening minutes, the up tempo play of the Wildcats allowed them to jump out to a quick 7-2 lead. The Bruins responded as Dustin Killough knocked down back to back three point shots to help the Bruins tie the game at 15-15. The Bruins eventually took a four-point lead before the Wilcats came charging back through the impressive play of Tramain Parker, who finished the night with 20 points. As the half ended, the Bruins knew they would have to play better in the second half as they trailed 42-33 at the break.
"We wanting to keep attacking the rim and we stopped doing that," Coach Ring said. "We had put them in some foul trouble early on and gave ourselves a chance and got into the bonus and then didn't pick up another foul until late in the half. That was disappointing for us."
In the second half, the Wildcats rode their red-hot shooting to keep a double digit lead. The Bruins tried to climb their way back into the game as Chae Dexter completed two straight 3-point plays and provided a spark off the bench with 19 points. The Wildcats then went on a 28-4 run in the middle of the half to put the game out of reach for the Bruins. As the final buzzer sounded, the Bruins were handed a tough 95-68 loss at home.
"We're a young team that is going through a lot of ups and downs and as coaches we'll continue to evaluate everything we do," Coach Ring said. "Honestly a lot of it was just them making plays and us not able to stop them. It is difficult to lose especially with having three games this week but have confidence that our guys are going to come in tomorrow ready to work and improve. We'll have another tough game on Friday."
Chae Dexter led the Bruins with 19 points and Kyle Turner finished with 13. The Bruins committed 18 turnovers while allowing 32 points in the paint. The team is now 4-15 on the season and will host Warren Wilson College on Friday night.
