Women's Soccer Set to Host Region Playoffs

Bob Jones University will serve as the host for the women's soccer NCCAA DII regional tournament this weekend. The Bruins earned the #1 seeding with a perfect 5-0 region record. The team won their first region title in the 2015 season as they defeated Johnson University of Florida and Toccoa Falls College. The Bruins will look to do that again this season and this time they will get to play on their home field.

Three teams will compete in the region tournament with Toccoa Falls College earning the #2 seed and Trinity Baptist College at #3. Toccoa Falls and Trinity Baptist will play in the semi-final match on Thursday night at 7 p.m. The winner of the semi-final match will play against the Lady Bruins on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Because this is an NCCAA tournament, all fans will be required to pay admission to games. General admission ticket prices are $3 per ticket and $2 for students (with valid student ID). Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge. All region playoff games will be webcast at bjubruins.com/live.

The three teams are partnering together to raise funds for Miracle Hill Ministries, a non-profit ministry in South Carolina. The funds raised will go to support underprivileged children in Greenville, South Carolina area.
