The women's soccer team is back home as they welcome Southern Wesleyan University to Alumni Stadium Tuesday night.
The Bruins remain undefeated this season as they come into the match 7-0-5 on the season. Their last match was on October 7, where they pulled away with a 3-0 Homecoming win over Florida College. In that game, Gabriela Gonzalez recorded a brace to see her season total increase to 12 goals this season.
It's been a tough season for the Warriors as they make the trip to Greenville with a 1-9-2 season record. Their only win of the season came back on September 13 in a 4-1 decision against Albany State University.
It's always been a solid matchup between the Bruins and the Warriors as the two South Carolina teams have met eight times in the last 10 years. Bob Jones currently leads the series 5-3 after winning the last three matches. Last season, the Bruins pulled out a gutsy 4-3 win over Southern Wesleyan. The Bruins fell behind early and had to play catchup through most of the match. After Mia Marks equalized in the 49th minute, she converted on a penalty kick in the 58th minute to put the Bruins in the lead.
Kickoff for Tuesday's game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
