The Bob Jones University women's soccer team is back on the road as they make their way to SE Freight Lines Soccer Complex in Columbia, South Carolina Saturday afternoon. The Bruins boast an undefeated record so far with two wins and three draws on the season.
After back-to-back draws, the Bruins look to get back in the win column on Saturday. On Monday, the team took on Averett University in Danville, Virginia where neither team could find the back of the net resulting in a 0-0 scoreline. Following Monday's match, Coach Chris Carmichael said "defensively we were solid again and just need to have more patience in our buildup and attacking half. Averett played a hard-fought match and created a lot of challenges and defensively we did a very good job limiting their shots on goal. We obviously need to generate more quality goal scoring opportunities and that is something that will be our focus."
Allen University comes into Saturday's tilt 1-3 on the year. In only its second season of competition, the Allen University women's soccer team picked up their first win in program history on September 13 with a 5-0 result over Wesleyan College.
Saturday marks the first meeting between the Yellow Jackets and the Bruins. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. from SE Freight Lines Soccer Complex in Columbia, South Carolina.
