Another big weekend is upon Bruins volleyball! The volleyball team will be traveling to Toccoa Falls College for the South Regional Kickoff where they will play, host school, Toccoa Falls College, Pensacola Christian College, Trinity College (FL), and Trinity Baptist College.

The Bruins have started their regular season 4-0 while also winning the Cougar Classic tournament hosted by Averett University in Danville, Virginia. They started the tournament with a pair of sweeps over Hollins University and Averett University. The Bruins would follow up the next day winning their 3rd match in an exciting five sets over Randolph College. Finally, the volleyball team would finish the tournament with another sweep over Roanoke College. Each of the four teams are NCAA DIII and this also marks the first time the Bruins have won this tournament since they first started attending.

Looking ahead, the South Regional Kickoff tournament will be on September 8 and 9. The whole tournament will be available on the NCCAA Network, but will come at a small cost to watch. The Bruins games will be Friday, September 8 at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. and Saturday, September 9 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Toccoa Falls College (NCCAA DII)
Last season, BJU and TFC battled it out on the court twice. First time went in favor of the Bruins winning 3-0 in a September home match. The second time around wouldn't quite fall the Bruins way as they would fall 2-3. In a mid-October match, the Bruins would put up a tough four sets, but would fall in the 5th set. In the last 10 matchups, the Bruins lead the series 8-2.

Pensacola Christian College (NCCAA DII)
PCC has held home court advantage for the last couple matchups, but that hasn't stopped the Bruins. The last match was held in Jacksonville, Florida, the site of the regional tournament, where the Bruins won in a 3-0 clean sweep.

Trinity College FL. (NCCAA DII)
Coming into this matchup, Trinity College has a young team of women. Last year when the Bruins and Tigers played, the Bruins won the match 3-0. The Bruins are 7-0 all-time over the Tigers.

Trinity Baptist College (NCCAA DII)
For the Bruins final matchup of the weekend, they will take on Trinity Baptist College. The last time these two teams met was last season at this same tournament. The Bruins made quick work of them sweeping them off the court 3-0.

Final score updates will be shared on each of our social media pages and will always be updated right here on BJUbruins.com.
