The Bruins are traveling to Jacksonville, Florida for the weekend to take on the Edward Waters University Tigers on Friday and the Trinity Baptist College Eagles on Saturday.
The Bruins have only faced the Tigers one previous time in 2021. That match resulted in a 3-2 win lead by two goals and an assist by Mia Marks. Both teams scored in the first two minutes of the second half to knot it at 2-2 until Marks scored the game-winning goal in the 61st minute.
After facing the Tigers, they take on the Eagles from Trinity Baptist College on Saturday. They own the history of the matchup with a 9-1 record. In their most recent meeting in 2021, the Bruins won handily 10-0. Marks also tallied two goals and an assist in that match too. Jessica Townsend and current assistant coach Anna Grace Abrams both had a goal themselves.Â
This will be the 5th time this season that the Bruins have a match in back-to-back days, but they are coming off of 10 days of rest and training.Â
Kickoff for Friday's match is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and Saturday's match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
