With Friday's wins, the Bruins are on a four game winning streak and have a 14-14 season record.
"The team played very well today," said Coach Christa Schlichting. "I am thankful that different people contributed at different times as we tried several different lineups."
Friday's first game for Bob Jones came against Washington Adventist University. This marked the first ever meeting between the Bruins and the Shock.Â

After a break, the Bruins were back on the court to face off against Carolina University in the Battle of the Bruins.Â

Bob Jones quickly regrouped. In set two, the Bruins started out well with a 6-1 lead. They held strong and evened the match with a 25-21 set win.
The third set proved to be the turning point. Both sides traded long rallies and momentum swings, but key kills helped the Bruins edge out a 27-25 victory to go up 2-1.
From there, the Bruins carried the momentum into the fourth, closing out the match convincingly with a 25-18 win the Battle of the Bruins 3-1.
Following the game, Schlichting said, "it was our defense that propelled us to get the big win against Carolina University. There were some phenomenal scrappy plays that were made. This is the momentum we need as we head into post-season play."
The Bruins have two more games remaining in the regular season. They are back at home next week with contests on Tuesday against Toccoa Falls College and on Saturday against Warren Wilson College.
