A Pair of Athletes Added to Bruins Track & Field Team

After returning many athletes from last year's team, the Bruins track & field recruit class is small but will have a major impact this season and going forward.

Joram Madrama joins the Bruins as a freshman engineering major from Luwero, Uganda that will run a variety of distances this season.

Karis Berrey joins the women's throwing squad this season as the only female recruit in the class. The freshman Biblical Counseling major comes from Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina.

"We have a big schedule ahead of us this track season, and these new athletes will bring value to this program. " said Head Coach Ken Roach. "The current student-athlete leadership will help set their athletic careers for big things as they continue to develop. We are happy to have them with us to honor God and excel towards excellence in this sport."

The Bruins track & field teams are anticipating an incredible season with the help of these two recruits. They return from Christmas break and hit the track quickly as they compete in the Tryon International Winter Invitational in Tryon, North Carolina on Saturday, January 17.
