The Bob Jones University women's volleyball team extended their winning streak to ten consecutive wins with a 3-0 sweep over Paine College Tuesday evening in Augusta, Georgia. With today's result, the Bruins have improved to 12-9 on the season.
As today's game got underway, the Bruins looked to set the tone early, and they finished the opening set with a 25-15 win. In the second set, the Lions kept it close, but it was the Bruins who took a 2-0 lead with the 25-19 set win. With the match on the line in the third set, the Bruins delivered and closed out the set 25-12 to complete the sweep.
Following the game, Head Coach Anthony Bennett shared, "I am very proud of our girls for coming away with a sweep tonight. We were down to seven players and are still battling with other injuries within the team, and we did a great job considering our circumstances. We definitely have a lot to work on before Friday, especially as far as unforced errors, but we're very happy to extend our winning streak to double digits!"
Up next, the Bruins travel to Georgia for an important NCCAA South Region tri-match against Baptist University of Florida and the University of Toccoa Falls on Friday.
