The Bob Jones University women's soccer team opens their 2026 season this weekend with a pair of matches in North Carolina. 

The Bruins face off first against North Carolina Wesleyan University at 4 p.m. on Friday from Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Friday's contest marks the first match of the regular season for both teams. The Bruins and Battling Bishops have met near the start of the season since 2021. Over the past five years, the Bruins won the four straight before ending last season's matchup in a 0-0 draw. 

The next day, the Bruins will be back on the pitch for a Saturday contest against Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Meredith College Avenging Angels are 0-0-1 entering the weekend after a 1-1 tie against Randolph College on Tuesday. Meredith will face off against Guilford College on Friday afternoon before Saturday's game against BJU. Last year, the two teams finished the game in a 0-0 draw. Since 2021, the Bruins have won twice, lost once, and tied twice to see a 2-1-2 series record.
