From the opening kickoff, the Bruins were out to show that this match would be different from the rest against the Rams. The Bruins controlled the tempo and dominated possession in the opening minutes. The Bruins tactical formations were superb as they cut through the Rams defense with ease. In the 8th minute, Travis Woodham tapped home a goal off a beautiful pass from Vincent Wilson to put the Bruins up 1-0. The Bruins continued their offensive attack, but as the half wore on, the Rams began to pressure Joseph Wooster and the Bruins defense. Wooster made several key saves to keep the Rams scoreless. At the half, the Bruins had a slim 1-0 lead.

"We came out with some intensity which was a good thing," Coach McCormick said. "We won a lot of 50/50 balls and we were able to set a good pace but at times we gave the ball away."

In the second half, the Bruins made several adjustments and came out strong. The team was able to spread the field and open up opportunities for great shots on goal. In the 49th minute, Matt Moore scored off a scrambled play to put the Bruins up 2-0. Moore struck again in the 59th minute after a pass from Micah Inafuku to extend the Bruins lead to 3-0. From there, the Bruins kept up the offensive pressure and stood strong on defense to keep the Rams out of the attacking third. With the game in hand, the Bruins put one final exclamation point as John Wilson scored off an assist from Matt Moore with less than a minute to play to give the Bruins a big 4-0 win at home.

With the win, the Bruins move to 6-6-1 on the season. Matt Moore led the way for the Bruins with 2 goals and 1 assist, while Travis Woodham and John Wilson each had one goal. The Bruins came together in all facets of their play to come up with a big win over Columbia International University. The Bruins will graduate nine seniors this season, and the team was happy to come out on top for senior night. "Without question all of these seniors brought a whole lot to the team on and off the field," God has really blessed us with the quality group of leaders that these guys are."

The Bruins will have the rest of the weekend off before welcoming Reinhardt University on Tuesday night for their final home match of the season.
