A start of an eight-game road trip for the Bruins begins this weekend up in Elizabeth City, North Carolina as Bob Jones is set to take on Mid-Atlantic Christian University for a three-game weekend series.
The Bruins come into the series after a home loss to Maryville College Tuesday night. Bob Jones held the lead for most of the game, but a seventh inning rally from the Scots was too much for the home team to overcome as they fell 11-5. After Tuesday's loss, the Bruins are now 5-21 on the season.
Looking at their opponent, the Mid-Atlantic Christian University Mustangs are 14-26 on the season and come into the weekend on a win over Virginia State after splitting their Saturday doubleheader.
This will be the first meeting between the two programs but not the last as the Bruins and Mustangs will battle it out to close their regular seasons at the end of April in Greenville, South Carolina.
Friday's game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and Saturday's doubleheader will begin at noon in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
