Seven Baseball Athletes Named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has named seven Bob Jones University Bruins baseball players to the Scholar-Athlete team for the 2025 season. To be given this recognition, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as a junior, senior, or graduate student.

A year after setting the program record with five scholar-athletes, the Bruins baseball team does it again with seven for the 2026 season.

The Bruins had two juniors, two graduating seniors, a returning senior, and two graduate students be given this honor this season. Public Accounting major Gabe Gearhart and Criminal Justice major Evan Vander Mei are the two juniors, and they have a high chance of repeating this recognition next year. Business major Evan Johnson and Ministry and Leadership major Kyle Prouse are the two graduating seniors with Sport Management major Ryan Pierce returning next year. The two graduate students, both in the Sport Administration & Coaching program, were Cody Kirkpatrick and Mack Ritter.
