After nearly 10 days since their last contest, the Bruins are back on the field for a weekend series at Toccoa Falls College. The Bruins enter the weekend 3-21 on the season after falling to Columbia International University in seven innings on April 4.
The Bruins and Screaming Eagles were scheduled to meet last weekend, but because of rain the three game series was canceled. Game one of the series was moved up a day due to potential weather on Friday so the two NCCAA programs will meet for the first time this season Thursday afternoon as well as Saturday for a doubleheader.
The Screaming Eagles come into the series with an impressive 20-11 season record. Earlier this week, Toccoa Falls faced off against Columbia International University where a five run inning in the top of the ninth secured the 12-8 win.
Bob Jones and Toccoa Falls have met 12 times through the last two seasons with the Screaming Eagles owning the 9-3 series record. Two of the Bruins wins over Toccoa Falls came last season with one win in Greenville and one in Georgia.
Game one of the series is set to begin at 3 p.m. on Thursday followed by a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.
