Five XC Men Earn All-American Status at NCCAA National Championships

At the conclusion of the NCCAA DII National Championship meet, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) awarded five Bob Jones University Bruins cross country runners with All-American honors. The All-American team recognition is based upon finishing results at the national meet with the top-ten finishers being awarded the honor.

The 2025 championship meet took place this morning in Joplin, Missouri where the men's team captured the championship again much due to the five runners in the top 10.

Judah Nash led the way as a freshman for the Bruins all season long, and with his second place finish, earned his first All-American award. Joel Batres-Mena, the junior captain of the team, has been just seconds away from All-American status the last couple of years, but this year, he got it. With his fourth place finish, he earned his first All-American as well. James Baer came through the finish line right after Batres-Mena, finally breaking out this season with a fifth place finish earning his first All-American recognition. The story of the day was the breakout race from freshman Jacob Doshier. His seventh place finish surprised everyone, but at the same time, surprised no one just because of the grit he has. While setting a three minute personal best, he earned his first All-American award. Levi Gerbitz is the only repeat All-American of the group with his 10th place finish today. After coming in seventh place in 2023 and barely missing the top ten last season, he is back on top.

"Great athletes shine the brightest in defining moments," said Head Coach Ken Roach. "These guys embodied the team's spirit by executing critically when the pressure was the greatest. They represented us, and they showed what it means to carry a legacy forward."
