The Bruins baseball team is traveling south for the weekend as they're headed to Trinity Baptist College to take on the Eagles in a weekend series.

The Bruins and Eagles have faced off 12 times in the short history of the Bruins program and each team has won six games. Last season, the Bruins went 3-1 against the Eagles with three of the games decided by only one run.

This will be the second series for the Bruins this season. They went 1-2 last weekend against Ohio Christian University with their first win of the season coming in thrilling walk-off fashion. In that series, the Bruins pitchers showed some serious promise going forward for the rest of the season. Coach Kyle Morrison said if they are more selective at the plate, more runs will come as well.

This weekend is a big chance for the Bruins to pick up some big wins over NCCAA region rival Trinity Baptist College. It all starts Friday at 4:00 p.m.
