Fourteen Outdoor Track & Field Member Named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has named 14 Bob Jones University Bruins outdoor track and field athletes to the Scholar-Athlete team for the 2025 season. To be given this recognition, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as a junior, senior, or graduate student.

"I'm incredibly proud of our NCCAA Scholar-Athlete members," said Head Coach Ken Roach. "Their discipline and time management shine in the classroom and on the field, reflecting our program's commitment to well-rounded student-athletes. These awards inspire, and this team supports their success with flexibility and a culture that values education."

Seven athletes on the women's team were given this honor. Five juniors are on the list of scholar-athletes including Health Sciences major Kathryn Amato, Communication Disorders major Grace Bailey, Nursing major Kristen Dodds, Biology major Lauren Jones, and Kinesiology major Abigail Woo. They are joined by senior English major Joy Hast and Sports Administration graduate student Mia Marks.

There are also seven on the men's team named as scholar-athletes. They are joined by four juniors: Sport Management major Samuel Ashley, Communication Disorders major Levi Gerbitz, Criminal Justice major Misha Gray, and Humanities major Joshua Landry.
