Five Baseball Players Named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has named five Bob Jones University Bruins baseball players to the Scholar-Athlete team for the 2025 season. To be given this recognition, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as a junior, senior, or graduate student.

"This is a great achievement for the Bruins baseball program," Head Coach Kyle Morrison said. "I'm proud of all five of these guys for the work they did this season."

Two of the five scholar-athletes recently graduated: International Studies major David Twiddy and Ministry and Leadership major Noah Weaver. The other three who will be returning next year are Sport Management major Mack Ritter, Ministry and Leadership major Kyle Prouse, and Sport Management major Ryan Pierce. Five scholar-athletes mark the highest total for a single season in baseball program history.

"Getting the program record this year goes to show the effort that the guys are putting into their studies and not just the time they are working on baseball," Coach Morrison said. "Lord willing, we will break this record again next year."

BJU is a NCCAA DII member featuring 13 varsity programs and nearly 200 student-athletes.
