Bruins Track and Field Back at Tryon International

After the track meet at Liberty University was canceled due to weather last week, the Bruins track and field teams were back at Tryon International competing one more time before the NCCAA Indoor Track National Championships.

"Weather setbacks disrupted our training and tested our resolve this week," Head Coach Ken Roach said. "But we have to continue to raise our determination and channel grit into our performances. Big dreams are not easy to conquer, but today we continued to accept the challenge. This team has a Bruins heart for excellence and a trust in faith of God's work within them."

The day began with the men's 5k and women's 3k in which the Bruins had a racer in both that set a personal best. Freshman Judah Nash took one second off of his young collegiate best. Kristen Dodds followed and raced to a 25-second personal best.

Emily Walton and Kate Amato both ran the women's 800 meter and Joel Batres-Mena and Jacob Doshier in the men's.  All ran solid times, but it was Jacob Doshier that raced to a personal best in the men's 800 meter race.
