The Bob Jones University women's volleyball team is back in the win column after picking up a 3-0 victory over Crown College Tuesday evening in Powell, Tennessee.

Today's match marked the first ever meeting between the two volleyball programs. As today's game got underway in Tennessee, the Bruins got off to a good start. They battled throughout the first set and pulled to a 25-12 win. In the middle frame, the Bruins continued to respond to Crown College and were able to take the match lead with a 25-11 result. BJU wrapped up the contest with a 25-14 set win to complete the sweep.

With today's win, the Bruins have improved to 13-11 on the season.

Following the game, Head Coach Anthony Bennett shared, "we really enjoyed ending our fall break with a win! This was a full team win all around."

He continued saying, "Crown did a great job being super scrappy, which forced us to respond with a lot of pressure. We mixed up our offense really well and were able to run some plays and routes that we've been working hard at in practice. This was an encouraging bounce back after a couple of tough losses last Friday. We are excited to work hard in the gym tomorrow in preparation for a big trip to North Carolina this weekend."

Up next, the Bruins take on Carolina University on Friday afternoon, followed by a tri-match against Mary Baldwin University and Pfeiffer University on Saturday.
