The Bruins are adding another piece to their program as Sadie Day joins the Bob Jones University women's basketball team for the upcoming season. Day is the lone recruit for the women's basketball team as she enters a core group of returners.
Sadie Day
- Hometown: Midland, Michigan
- Major: Kinesiology
- Awards: She set the school record for career points with 1,389 and was the single game scoring leader with 42 points. She earned a spot on the Midland All Area Dream team. She was also named to the AP All-State Second team, Detroit Free Press All-State Honorable Mention, and BCAM's Best.
- Fun Fact: Sadie is a big Manchester United soccer fan.
"We are blessed to have Sadie Day joining us this year," said Head Coach Mike LeViere. "She is a hard-working young lady that we have gotten to know over the past several years and are confident that she fits what we are about as a program and will also be a great asset to the BJU campus community."
He continued saying, "she had a great career on the court at Calvary Baptist Academy in Michigan and has grown and matured through her time dealing with injury and as a leader in that program. On the court she is a great shooter and we are excited to have her join the team and add her abilities to the mix. With a strong returning group, it is nice that we don't have to rely on newcomers, but it's also great to have them available and I am confident she will continue to get better every day and will be ready when needed."
