"We definitely wanted to run the floor tonight," Coach LeViere said. "We knew they had some problems getting back on defense and we looked to take advantage of that. We just need to be able to swing the ball and knock down our open shots."
In the second half, the Bruins began to increase their lead by forcing turnovers and making smarter decisions on offense. The team went on a 12-0 run in the middle of the second half, behind Jeffcott's points in the paint, and Spiecker's three-pointers from the outside. "It wasn't the prettiest thing in the world but it is a victory," Coach LeViere said. "We're playing college basketball and we are winning. We all know we can play a whole lot better which is encouraging. We need to make better decisions with the ball and do a better job in the rebounding, but we're happy for the win. "
