The Lady Bruins welcomed the Appalachian Bible College Warriors on Tuesday night to the Davis Field House. From the opening tip, the Bruins executed tremendous defensive pressure to hold the Warriors scoreless for the first six minutes of play. The Bruins worked the ball inside to Kourtney Hoefler, and Kendra Jeffcott sliced through the lane for baskets. Early on, the Bruins had a 20-8 lead. "Our chemistry was really there tonight," Bruins' guard Chalice Pack said. "We attacked what was open and took a lot of good open shots." The Bruins continued to play great in each offensive possession, and Hoefler and Jeffcott continued to dominate the glass to extend the Bruin lead. At the half, the Bruins had a comfortable 30-13 lead.

"We were able to work on some more things tonight," Coach LeViere said. "We were able to focus on some areas of improvement and work on getting better."

In the second half it was much of the same as the Bruins started the second half with a 17-2 run to further increase their lead. With the game well in hand, Coach LeViere used the opportunity to play some of the reserve players and rest his starters. Throughout the remainder of the second half, the Bruins continued to apply great defensive pressure to force turnovers. "Our coaches have done a great job scouting recently," Bruins' guard Chalice Pack said. "When we know who we need to lock down on it helps us to play better defense."

As the game drew to a close, thirteen of the fifteen players on the Bruins' roster had scored. When the final buzzer sounded, the Bruins had secured their fourth straight victory in a 63-33 win. Coach LeViere said that although the team has seen recent success, the game plan remains the same.

"We want to keep running the floor and taking care of the ball," Coach LeViere said. "If we do those things and limit transition baskets we are going to win most games."

Kendra Jeffcott led the Bruins with 12 points and 9 rebounds while Chalice Pack added 10 points. Kourtney Hoefler owned the glass with 13 rebounds to solidify the Bruins' dominant performance in outrebounding the Warriors 51-20.

With the win, the Bruins move to 9-12 on the season and will be on the road on Friday night as they travel to play Piedmont.
